ZyXEL Announces Its 802.11n Products Comply with the Final IEEE 802.11n Standard

ZyXEL Communications has announced that ZyXEL’s 11n wireless products comply with the latest and final IEEE 802.11n standard. Furthermore, all of ZyXEL products that have achieved Draft 11n certification from WiFi Alliance (WFA) will be Wi-Fi Certificated n compliant and identified with its logo.

ZyXEL’s draft 2.0 products comply with the final IEEE 802.11n standard and will fully interoperable with its future products. Providing extreme wireless performance and extended coverage, ZyXEL 11n products will fulfill customers’ increasing high-quality multimedia demand and bring them to a new level of wireless connection. Offering high-quality features such as advanced QoS technology for effective multimedia bandwidth allocation and backward compatibility with the existing 802.11b/g devices, ZyXEL’s 11n products provide consumers with a better and stable Internet experience.

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) has officially ratified the IEEE 802.11n as a standard with improved data rates and ranges for wireless local area networks (WLANs). The new amendment to IEEE 802.11n standard helps the data communications industry addressing the escalating demands on higher-bandwidth file transfers and next-generation multimedia applications. The compatibility between draft 2.0 products and the final standard provides operators the investment protection with their existing infrastructure and planned 802.11n installation.
